2024 Power Sheets: How to Live a Life of Intention
The time has come for the 2024 Power Sheets Goal Planner release. This is one of my favorite parts of the year. Goal setting has been something that I have shared here on Townsend House since I started writing here back in 2011. And even before that, on my very old blog, I would share my yearly intentions.

This year there are several options to choose from for the 2024 Power Sheets. First is the classic yearly version which is their signature goal setting system. This is the one that I have used for my own goal setting. I started using the Power Sheets back in 2015. The reason that I like it so much is because it really made me consider what was most important.
2024 Power Sheets Prep Work
When you are setting goals to live a life of intention, you obviously need to know what your priorities are. This is where the Power Sheets goal planning process comes in. The prep work is the most important part of goal setting. You need to know what your priorities are, what is most important. Also, you need to be aware of the progress that you have made over the past year.
When you take the time to reflect and dream, you are able to recognize what you are already doing, and where you want to make improvements.
The prep work of the Power Sheets is what drew me to them in the first place. I enjoy sitting down every year and working through my reflection and thinking ahead to what is possible in the new year. Living a life of intention requires this. If you do not reflect on where you have been, how do you know where you want to go in the future? It takes a good bit of grit to acknowledge to bad with the good. But, this is all part of the process!
If you struggle with reflection and prep work in general, I invite you to join me over in my membership community where we are walking through goal planning together!
Monthly Goal Planning
Once you get through all of your prep work, you begin to work on your monthly goal planning. There is a place for you to flesh out the month in front of you and figure out your priorities for the month. This is called your Monthly Reset. It gives you a chance to understand all that you have already committed to in the month ahead.
From there you have your blank monthly calendar. And then you get to the “break it down” section. This is a new feature this year, and I absolutely love it. It reminds me of the mini goal action plans that were in the 2021 version of the Power Sheets. You have a place to write your goal, and then any projects or other steps you want to work on towards that goal in the coming month.
Finally you get to your Tending List. The tending list has not changed in the 2024 Power Sheets. You still have a place for encouraging words and your priority for the month. That is followed by your monthly, weekly, and daily action items. These are the things that you want to work on in the month ahead to make progress on your goals.
Again, if you need help with creating a tending list, I would love for you to join my membership community so that we can walk through your goals together!

2024 Power Sheets Options
There are a lot of options when considering the 2024 Power Sheets. First, you have multiple cover options to choose from this year. I decided to go with Crocus which is completely outside of my comfort zone. If you watch my 2024 Power Sheets Review & Walkthrough you will see that I almost always choose some sort of green variation. Last year I chose bluebird because there wasn’t a green option.
I absolutely LOVE the purple though. It is beautiful in person, and definitely inspiring me to want to start my prep work already!
90-Day PowerSheets
If you decide you do not want a full year of Power Sheets, or you prefer 90-Day goal setting, or you want to also use your Power Sheets as a regular planner, there are more options! You have the option of the 90-Day Power Sheets or the Fresh Start Daily Goal Planner.
The 90-Day Power Sheets is an undated, weekly planner. It includes almost all of the prep work that the full year version has (just slightly slimmed down because you are doing your prep work quarterly rather than yearly). Then it also includes horizontal weekly planning pages. This is an undated planner, so you can start it at any time.
The Fresh Start Daily Goal Planner is new this year, and I am having a hard time deciding if I want to use this or my full year version! The Fresh Start Daily has all the same prep work as the 90-Day Power Sheets, but it has undated daily planning pages.
Both the 90-Day Power Sheets and Fresh Start Daily come in 2 cover color choices. With the Fresh Start Daily, you also get to choose your binding, either a gold o-ring, or book bound.
Goal Planning Separate from Regular Planning
If you prefer to keep your goal planning separate from your normal weekly and daily planning, Cultivate What Matters has something else for you as well! You can choose either the Daily Season by Season Planner, or you can choose the Weekly Season by Season Planner. These planners also come in two cover choices. You can see that I chose the Blooms Season by Season Weekly below.
This is a perfect partner to your 2024 Power Sheets. It gives you the option of a weekly reset, quarterly rhythm changes, as well as all the pages you need to make progress on your goals while staying on top of your schedule.
I liked this Season by Season weekly planner so much, I may decide to use it for my work planner for 2024.
How do you know which system to choose?
If you are looking for a yearly goal planning system and already have a regular planning system you use, you are going to want to choose the 2024 Power Sheets. This is their flagship product. The Power Sheets will help you figure out what is most important, and lead you on the path to choosing the right goals for the coming year. They will show you how to set up goals monthly so that you can make progress towards the life of intention that you want.
Now, if you want to also have a planning system from Cultivate What Matters that goes with your Power Sheets, then you will want to take a look at adding either the Daily Season by Season or the Weekly Season by Season to your 2024 Power Sheets.
If you want to focus on 90-Day goals, rather than yearly goals, while also having your planning pages integrated into the planner, you will want to choose either the 90-Day Power Sheets with undated weekly planning spreads, or the Fresh Start Daily Goal Planner with daily planning spreads.
Creating Healthy Habits
I believe that habits and rhythms are the key to living a life of intention as well as making progress on your goals. Making sure that you are building habits and rhythms into your days, weeks, and months will help you make more progress with less effort – because once something is a habit, it is automatic. You have removed that decision, and in turn removed some of the decision fatigue that you face on a daily basis.
One amazing tool that came out this past summer, and I will be using as I begin to think about goals for 2024, is the Habit Workbook. This little workbook is jam packed with information to help you figure out which habits you need, and then how to implement those habits and rhythms in your life. It also has some amazing trackers in the workbook itself. I definitely recommend this regardless of whether you get the Power Sheets. It will help put you on the right path.
How to Live a Life of Intention
Goal planners in general will help you live a life of intention because you are considering what the next best direction is for your life. You take the time to understand your time and money commitments to the different goals you have for your life. The 2024 Power Sheets help guide you on that path.
Goals are not the only part of living a life of intention, however. You have to consider so many aspects of your daily life and rhythm when you begin to explore intention in your world. This month in my membership community we are doing just that. We are walking through the steps I find necessary to start to live a life of intention. I would love for you to join us over there. Once you have an understanding of intention in your own life, you will be better equipped to move through the Power Sheets prep work and set up your own goals for the coming year.
