31 Days of Crafting Your Dream Life

Have you been crafting your dream life? What is stopping you from doing so? Welcome back to another year of #write31days! This is a (now defunct) challenge, started by Myquillyn Smith of The Nester a very long time ago. The challenge was to write every day in the month of October on one particular topic. I have participated many times over the years, and even tried to get back into it a couple of years ago, but was not successful. It may be because the challenge itself is no longer happening – accountability helps!

This year, however, I have been focusing on creating a rhythm of renewal. And one of the areas that I have been focusing on is the create rhythm. So, this month, I am going to be participating in my own little challenge and writing 31 days all about crafting your dream life.

Crafting Your Dream Life: Introduction

This month is all about helping you to figure out exactly what you want out of life, and then going after it. Crafting your dream life is going to be different for every person. That is why it is YOUR life. We all are going to have different dreams and different goals. But, the process of figuring out that dream life, and then making progress in the areas that we find value in, is something we can all work on together.

This challenge comes at an interesting time for me. I have been focusing a lot on slowing down this year, on simplifying my systems, and taking time for what is most important. Through that process, I realized that I missed creating. I missed working with my hands on knitting projects, having a dedicated writing practice where I would share my thoughts each day, here on this blog, without focusing on the backend work of blogging as a business.

And that is why my focus is on crafting your dream life, because I want to get back to the crafts that I love – writing, knitting, handcrafts in general – and I hope it encourages you to do the same.

What to Expect

Over the next 31 days, I plan to write everyday while exploring this topic. There will be goal work, there will be work on discovering our dreams and aspirations, and there will be tips to make it a little more manageable.

This will act as a landing page for all of the posts that I write for this series. I hope that you will join me in learning to craft your own dream life!
